"Citation needed here" is a template that marks a place in the text where a citation is required.
Any user with permission to edit a page may question an un-cited claim by inserting the text: {{citation needed here}} in the edit view of the material.
Adding the text {{Citation needed here}} anywhere in an article or case study will render to the reader:
- Given that this sentence makes substantial claims without providing a reference, one might think it needs references added.[ citation needed ]
Additionally, you can provide guidance to the individual editing the page about the type of citation required. You have the option of using: {{Citation needed here | reason= YOUR REASON}}
The "reason" text will only be viewable in the Editor view and will not appear to anyone reading a page.
