Text

If you contribute original text directly to AquaPedia, you thereby license it to the public for reuse under CC-BY-SA and GFDL (unversioned, with no invariant sections, front-cover texts, or back-cover texts).

quotes, paraphrased text, and other non-original contributions must be referenced. This information belongs to the respective owner and should be included carefully, with great consideration to the appropriate use of such text.

Non-Text

Non-text media may be contributed under a variety of different licenses that support the general goal of allowing unrestricted re-use and re-distribution. Every image has a description page which indicates the license under which it is released or, if it is non-free, the rationale under which it is used.

Users uploading images or other files to AquaPedia must indicated in the file description the origin and owners of the images. This includes mash-ups, self-annotated images, etc. If the image/file is not available under the CC-BY-SA, then the image/file must have a clear rationale. Upon becoming aware of a potential conflict, editors will delete or replace images that are used in a manner that is inconsistent with this policy.

Obtaining Permission for Use

As most contributions are clearly stated as being presented under the CC-BY-SA, permission is not needed to use most information from AquaPedia. Please seek guidance on citing pages for use. For all information/media included in AquaPedia that is not presented under CC-BY-SA, please seek out the creator/copyright holder.
